Maintaining Resilience Journey

To recover, I need to be resilient. Being resilient is the most complicated part of the recovery process. The terminology "Recovery" does not relate to "The Final Recovery". Every day I survive mental illness is a recovery day for me. I no longer live for other people's expectations. I live for me.

People face mental health because of many unresolved underlying issues unattended. Mine are deep and wide. I admit I can get lost in the deep dark tunnel.

So, what do I do to maintain resilience with my disorders, pain, frustrations, depression, and challenges to stay afloat? I utilize my passion, which is singing. Due to my condition and situation, I can no longer sing on stage like before.

I keep myself busy by recording my vocals and turning them into music videos. Yet, when the creative processes are completed from home, due to my anxiety and panic disorder, I will undergo a process where I will be in pain and fatigue. The vicious cycle never ends. I can only manage and improve my mental health.

When in pain, watching the videos I have produced will be a reminder to myself that things will get better. The storm will pass. Unwell times will also be the time I practice gratitude, create hope for myself and make room for improvements for my next recording.
